Food and Wine: Drink S’More

Unleash your inner kid while satisfying your outer wino with a s’more and wine pairing.  On August 10th, Willowcroft Farm Vineyards in Leesburg is offering a wine tasting with s’mores for $12.

For s’mores, I would recommend a sweeter wine or one with berry flavors.  Your tolerance for sweet wine should guide how sweet to go, but something with at least a hint should compliment the sweet s’morey goodness.  Try one of Virginia’s Viogniers like the one from Horton Vineyards, a Moscato d’Asti, or a raspberry dessert wine.  Fabbioli Cellars’ Raspberry Merlot or their Rosa Nera would go nicely.
